Privacy Policy
Dayk ("we," "our," or "us") provides a pregnancy and menstrual cycle tracking application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We collect only the information needed to provide the App, and we do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
1. Information We Collect
To let you create an account, sign in, and use the App, we collect:
- Phone number — used to create your account and sign you in, including through a one-time verification code.
- Email address — used to create your account, sign you in, help you recover access, and contact you about your account when necessary.
- Facebook account information — if you choose "Continue with Facebook," Meta provides us with basic profile information linked to your Facebook account, such as your name, email address, and Facebook user ID. We only receive this when you choose to sign in with Facebook.
- Cycle and pregnancy information you enter — such as period dates, cycle length, pregnancy due dates, and related notes. You provide this to use the core features of the App, and it is linked to your account so it is saved and available when you sign in.
We do not track your activity in other apps or on other websites, and the App contains no advertising or advertising trackers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and secure your account and to verify your identity when you sign in.
- To provide the App's core features — saving your cycle and pregnancy information and keeping it available when you sign in.
- To send the reminders and notifications you enable, such as upcoming period or important-date alerts.
- To respond to your support requests and communicate with you about your account.
- To keep the App secure and reliable and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. How Your Information Is Stored
Your account details and the information you enter are stored using Google Firebase, a service provided by Google that we use for sign-in (authentication) and secure data storage. Your information is held on Google's cloud infrastructure and may be processed on servers located outside your country. We rely on Firebase's security protections together with our own access controls to safeguard your data. You can learn more in the Google Privacy Policy and the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.
4. Signing In With Facebook
The App offers "Continue with Facebook" as an optional sign-in method, provided by Meta Platforms ("Meta"). If you use it, Meta verifies your identity and shares basic profile information — such as your name, email address, and Facebook user ID — so that we can create or open your account. We request only the information needed to sign you in, and we do not post to Facebook on your behalf. Your use of Facebook Login is also governed by Meta's Privacy Policy. If you prefer not to use Facebook, you can sign up with your phone number and email instead.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:
- With the service providers that help us operate the App — currently Google Firebase (data storage and authentication) and Meta (only when you choose to sign in with Facebook).
- When required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the App.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your information only for as long as your account remains active. When you delete your account — which you can do at any time from within the App — we permanently and completely remove your account and all of its data, including the documents stored in our database (Google Firestore). This removal is permanent and the data cannot be recovered. Step-by-step instructions are on our Account Deletion page. You can also email us to request deletion.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw your consent. You can exercise these rights by deleting your account in the App or by contacting us at the email below. We will respond in line with applicable law.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and post the revised version on this page.
10. Contact Us
If you have any questions or requests about this Privacy Policy or your information, please contact us at hamagerdi@gmail.com.
